Do we have gift cards?
Yes! They must be used within a year of the time of purchase. Please do not wait last minute. Our artists can be booked for up to a month or two. Be prepared to schedule well in advance of the expiration date.
Can a minor get a tattoo?
No. In the state of Iowa, you MUST be 18 years old. A parent’s consent does not make it legal.
When should I not get a tattoo?
Overall you should not get tattooed while being drunk, high, pregnant, sunburnt, or sick. If you know that you have any health-related problems that might compromise tattooing, please let your artist know so we can consider it. Here are some examples:
Health conditions: If you have certain medical conditions such as a compromised immune system, skin infections, or bleeding disorders, it's best to consult with a healthcare professional before getting a tattoo.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding: It is generally recommended to avoid getting a tattoo while pregnant or breastfeeding due to potential risks to the baby and changes in the body during these periods.
Recent surgeries or medical procedures: It's important to allow your body sufficient time to heal before getting a tattoo, so it's generally advised to wait until you have fully recovered from any recent surgeries or medical procedures.
Skin conditions or infections: If you have active skin conditions like eczema, psoriasis, or open wounds, it's best to wait until your skin has healed before getting a tattoo. Tattooing over compromised skin can lead to complications or interfere with the healing process.
Allergies or sensitivities: If you know or suspect that you have allergies or sensitivities to tattoo ink or other tattoo-related products, it's important to discuss this with a tattoo artist and potentially seek advice from a dermatologist.
If you know about your health-related problems, please let your artist know before the session so we can consider them. If we don’t know your health-related problems beforehand that show up on the appointment day and might compromise tattooing, our artists are not obligated to tattoo you.
Does getting a tattoo hurt?

What can I do to be respectful to my artist?

A big group of friends or family coming in with you should be asked in advance of your appt. Our shop may be full and this would be distracting for the artist. Do not eat in the tattoo booth area. Children should not be in the booth area unless the artist gives permission.
How do I dress for a tattoo?
Be modest and plan ahead. If you need suggestions please ask your artist. Examples: Lower back or rib tattoo- loose fit around waist pants or shorts. Spine or sternum tattoo- button-up shirt. High thigh/hip tattoo- for women swimsuit bottoms work best. Neck/chest/ back shoulder- loose fit tank.
Can I bring my children to my appointment?
Yes, however, if they are not being watched, being loud, or running around they will need to leave. If this disrupts the tattoo session, the artist will charge you for that time and will reschedule your appointment which may increase the cost of your tattoo due to the reset of the product.
